Limited Edition - Diamond Anniversary Art Deco Style Vulcan XH558 Model

The model is limited to only 60 pieces, recognising the 60th anniversary of XH558's first test flight on 25 May 1960. This remarkable aircraft went on to become the first Vulcan B.Mk2 to commence RAF service on 1 July 1960.

This cast aluminium Art Deco model of AVRO Vulcan XH558 is white powder-coated to create the anti-flash white style she wore on her first test flight in 1960. Finished with the RAF roundels and fin flash of the era.

Vulcan aircraft were originally painted in anti-flash white. During 1963 the process of painting Vulcans in camouflage started. This was when their role changed from high level to low level flying.

These Limited Edition models are hand finished, including the unique number that can be found hand inscribed on the base of each model. The number references the serial number of Vulcan XH558, followed by the Limited Edition number. Click on the images to see the serial no. plate, which is attached to XH558.
